Devices

Ship/station sensors
-a lot

personal sensors/scanners
-metal detecor
-bomb/poison sniffer
-inv scanner
-motion dectecor

Ship stealth
-stealth comm systems (point to point, hyperspace transmission, encryption. etc)
-radiation masking (insulation, other stuff)
-stealth hull plating

Personal stealth
-detector and sniffer fooler thingies (come up with a better name.)
-inv. cloak

Also ping tool.
Sends a signal (that can not be kept from being picked up by your enemies if they search for them) and allows standard-issue communication devices to track the coordinates it was used on, possibly allowing a spy to mark a weak spot in someones defenses for a missile strike.

How about a homing beacon, gets put in someone's nventory or stuck to a ship, then it's location can be seen by a receiver device.

I like your idea, prototype.

Not sure about Ivan's though. Is it like a tracking system that shows the location of a person you send a ping to? Please clarify.

It kind of makes sense. We were talking about comm devises. But yeah. Maybe anything over 50m requires a comm device, and the better comm devise you have, the farther the reach.

Also comm relays.
Needs to match the type of signal of your comm and can extend its range.
A strong sobspace relay for example might enable you to send messages to an entire different system with your radio while a radio wave relay might just reach for ~10,000 blocks
(I know 10,000 Blocks is much, but a relay would need about 100 times more power then your radio and if a medium planet in FC will be about 40,000 Blocks in each direction (if folded up), it will already be covering about half the planet with a 10,000 Block radius.
