A lack of well coded NPCs will make this game seam empty and dull. space ports and warships will be empty as they drift though space. several mile long ships will consist of a crew of about 3 or 4. Space will be even more empty. So i propose a new (i hope it's new) idea .

To increase space travel and give people more options for an income source. Some villagers could ask to be ferried to a different colony. This will cause people to build ships that are built around NPC transport. There could be rules set in place that say you can only carry one villager on your ship per bed - crew (Colonists = beds - players - NPC crew). adding such rules would force people to use less money on guns and more money of increasing the size of the ship to accommodate more villagers. This will be the start to a less war drivin economy.

I like that idea. Civilian NCPs that haven't been employed requiring transit. Maybe player-owned businesses can request NCPs from other colonies if they have a lack of workers.

I think this could be a really good feature. It would offer nice targets of Pirates, which would also cause them to hire escorts too possibly.
