I believe there should be super-advanced armor systems, using special armor suits, in-games such as crysis 2, halo, and in movies like predator. The armor should be able to have armor modules, the modules would be limited for each type of armor, and some types would not be compatible with some modules at all. Modules would be put into a crafting table or the one that will be added into the mod, with the armor set. Super-Suits would be disrupted by EMPs. When this occurs small pieces of lightning and electricity would surround the suit so the user and attacker would know they are vulnerable. Plus all modules and HUDs would cease to work, and slow the player down significantly. All helmets would have a HUD but not with advanced info such as ammo, meters/blocks to target, and power


Modules: Predator/Promethian Vision(Advanced Thermal vision when you click a key, named differently though and limited for short durations, depending on power system)

Bullet Deflection (Deflects most bullets, but not all)

Laser Absorbtion (absorbs most lasers and adds them to armor power system)

Uranium Core (produces power for suit)

Invisibility [(turns you for short durations depending on power system)would needed to be crafted with invisibility potion]

Jet pack (jet pack)

EMP defense (EMP durations would be shorter and have only 80% success rate)

Super Sprint [(significantly increase player speed)need potion of swiftness to craft]

Advanced HUD (Adds power info, number of blocks to target, ammo info such as number of ammo for current weapon and type of ammo, Etc.)

Built-in computer system (Makes suit able to trigger other location computers remotely but those must have satellite dishes, and they add targeting)

End of modules/
Weapons: Guns that have different ammo types(EMP, High explosive, armor piercing and incediary, laser would only be capable of EMP and normal, but burn target as usual, and are more effective at EMP) ammo would be changed by pressing the y key? and it would say what type in chat only to the player, and would show you in advanced HUD. Another assault rifle should be added that has a bulllpup configuration yet more powerful than bloter yet fire slower, and looks cool,

Most of his is in the summary. There will be many types of armor, from simple wool trenchcoat to Kevlar to MJOLNIR and beyond. There will also be many types of weapons: combustion guns, guided missiles, magnetic accelerators, ion-based, laser guns, particle guns, etc.

-Cotton Clothing (minimal resistance to damage)

-Wool Armor

-Leather armor

-Stone/Wooden Armor (?)

-Iron Armor

-Golden Armor

-Diamond Armor (?)

-Scuba

-Hardhat diving suit (is water/atmo. pressure an issue?

-Aluminum armor

-Carbon-Plate/layered carbon Armor (modern battledress)

-Carbon Fiber Armor (Yes! It's mostly pointless!)

-Kevlar Armor

-Titanium-plate Armor

-Tungsten alloy Armor

-Corundum Armor (weaker than diamond, but more expensive! It also looks cooler)

-Vacuum-Proof Suit (For space!)

Feather armor (because chickens)

-Non-Pressurized Vacuum Suit (Material applies pressure instead of air)

-Modular Armor System (Pressure resistant, vacuum proof, plates can be attached to it to offer different damage resistance)

-Powered Exoskeleton (Simple powered modular system, it allows the user to jump higher, move faster, and deal more damage with melee weapons)

-Power Battledress (Large, bulky, vacuum and pressure proof. Successor of the simple exoskeleton, is often used by heavy marines)

-Biologically Infused Armor (More powerful version of the Powered Battledress, it's attached to the skin, bones, and muscular structure of the wearer. Can only be taken off with the use of an advanced Medbay)

-Light Power Armor (Less strong than the Battledress, but also much smaller, allowing the wearer to drop in a standard infantry drop pod.)

-MJOLNIR or whatever (You could craft a small fleet for the price of one suit of MJOLNIR. The size of light power armor, but makes the wearer superhuman. Powered by a micro fusion reactor, it allows for speed that can match a recon vehicle and strength of ten infused armors, all while offering a huge resistance to radiation and kinetic attacks and a personal energy shield.

-Entanglement Armor (So difficult to create that no one has been able to make a vacuum proof model. Offers near infinite resistance to kinetic attacks)

-MANY, MANY MORE!

Maybe start out with only the bottom row of slots, then gain more as you make clothing and armor. Perhaps you can attach pockets to cotton or wool shirts, coats, and pants, the more pockets you put on, the slower you walk.

So, like you have only your hotbar at the beginning and only get further inventory slots if you have good clothing?
I´m okay with it, but you might reconsider the speed thing. It would totally take away the constructive spirit of Minecraft.
