The FCE Excelsior. An assault frigate built by Tiel and interior'd by Error and to some extent Tiel, this ship represents the pinnacle of joint shipbuilding.

Located on Avenger's server, we're looking for a crew.


Tiel - Helm (Cmdr.)
stufuzzycat - Weapons Officer (Cmdr.)
Error - Chief Engineer (Lt. Cmdr.)
Tell31 - Chief Medical Officer (Lt. Cmdr.)
catsonmeth - Ground Force Commander (Cpt. - Lt. Cmdr. for Navy)
Jack Root - Security Officer (Lt. Cmdr.)
Tunnelthunder - Sensor Officer (Lt.)
ACH0225 - Ops Officer (Lt.) [Ops includes ship internal functions]
caltech117 - Chief Science Officer (Lt.)

Rank assigned according to importance to the ship.

A brief background:

The vessel was the maiden warship of the Excelsior class of Assault Frigates, given as tribute to the Futurecraft Empire after completion. It served as one of the many ships gifted by the Empire's affiliates to comprise its burgeoning space flotilla, which enforced the entity's mission of peace throughout the galaxy.

Excelsior itself was relatively decent for an Assault Frigate at its conception, a vastly refined version of Taln's earlier experimental Proponent design mounting six medium cannons, five railguns, and a modest hangar bay capable of maintaining a full squadron of fighters. The ship design went on to become a crucial component of FCE fleet maneuvers after the Excelsior made apparent the class's aptitude at screening formations of larger vessels.

In fact, during the early years of the Empire, the maiden ship helped dispel the illusion that the organization was weak and vulnerable by taking part in many fleet actions alongside other warships contributed by factions in the FCE's sphere of influence. The Excelsior and its volunteer crew soon had quite a reputation for defending the sovereignty of the Futurecraft Empire, eventually becoming the preferred command ship for admirals of the frigate division it served in.

Because unlike the Proponent it does not mount an AI core.

Also, I was going to put you as the captain of the volunteer crew of the Excelsior who became Emperor after a few battles, but wasn't sure if you wanted to have anything to do with this. Really, I've thought about it and FCE doesn't seem that bad as long as it stays a UN type moderating organization as opposed to an all-powerful derp dictatorship with 400000000 moderator ships.

I tend to stay away from the Role-Play section. Still, if this is a build on the server, why does it need a permanent crew? Do you mean to start a role-play based on these crew members? Also, could we have some screenshots?

Not about the roleplay, I don't think. As far as screenshots are concerned, Avenger hasn't bothered to restart the server after some fool crashed it, so..

Maybe (maybe) do some occasional roleplay, but this is mainly so we can deck out people's quarters as they want them.

That, and I now know how many crew rooms to build.

On that note. When the server is restarted, if all the crew could message me or post what they want in their rooms. The default is a bed, chest, and enchantement table, mainly for looks.

If there is a space for a planetary assault room can I edit it?

There's only a little of the internal finished, and the rest is just 2 block tall decks with nothing on them. So we need to make passageways and rooms, and I think that the decks should be at least 3 blocks apart.
