| So I have had this idea for a while, and its a type of anti-infantry anti-armor, basically anti-anything on the ground. it has to be launched from a special rocket launcher, that can enter in a distance for the missile, it would normally make a normal missile explode at the range, but when the MRAM or MRAW (mobile rocket artillery missile/weapon, name is a WIP) is used, instead of exploding at the distance entered into it, it will arc from the solider to an undetermined hight were it is directly verticality above the target, then from he sides of the missile, smaller rockets pointing downwards will be propelled below, and blast the small area from above in a "raining fire" Concept picture If you can think of a better name, make a comment. | |

| So you basically mean sub-munition? Like they use(d) it in common artillery in RL? As described in this Wikipedia article? Yeah, I think that will be in the mod in some way. | |

| No. It's a great idea, but will make infantry battles last for all of eleven seconds. | |

You forget that any more advanced faction will give their soliders powered armor. Exoskelletons (with armor) are not that high tech, as RL technology is almost good enough to use exoskelletons in a military way, whilst we are still completely unable to make any useful concept for a FTL-drive.

Note I said "small area" so it won't wipe out the whole force with one missile, and if your infantry is that clustered up, then the battle won't last the long regardless. and its more meant to take out target behind large obstetrical, like buildings and there can be a type of deployable plasma umbrella to shield if you think, or see that your going to be attack by one of these.

| Also, if we make the submunition about as powerful as a ghast-fireball, it won´t even necessarily kill everyone in the killzone, even if they just use vanilla armor. | |

| If you made the rounds expensive (in a sense), maybe, but then that would be the only thing used, no diversity. Big factions will have to problem making little rockets when they have huge fleets, but little Jimmy with his stone sword will have problems making this. | |

Well, as I said, if you make them as weak as Ghast Fireballs, then even your "little jimmy with his stone sword" might survive it if he´s lucky (and has iron armor) and big factions would use other stuff against armored vehicles, making Submunition-rounds anti-infantry only.
