The overall design looks like you built a decent ship, then decided it wasn't big enough and stuck another on the end. Maybe remove the weird part in the middle, and add a raised section on on end to act as the bridge, and to show which way it travels.

Also, are those your custom textures you've added? Because they look pretty cool.

yes they are custom textues, but the ship was built to be like that (didn't want it to be one long sausage)
and doesn't the pointy bit on the left give away which way it travels, plus which way all the guns are pointing

also it may be a tactical advantage to have a ship which is hard to predict which way it is going (not that that really works for this one though)

I'd really like to point out that you don't exactly have gratuitous firing arcs for your main guns.

Yea the captain calls fire all weapons and all weapons are destroyed.

They are supposed to be close range turrets, they don't exactly stay fixed in position, but I have put them in standby position, (the big guns are underneath)

Somebody mentioned overpowered lasers, this was the first thing that came to mind

Nope this being FC, I´m sure he knows da lazor, but we´re sci-fi weapon engineers here, so your "LAZOR" won´t get you anywhere.

Wait, FUCK! I just deleted 8 hours work I did on a redstone minigame because MCEdit toggled a single option back, causing my dome to become solid, and destroying everything in it. I've lost faith in Minecraft and anything to do with, I will go do stuff I'm supposed to do. Note to self, MAKE MOAR WORLD BACKUPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I will go rage somewhere else.

No, I closed it. It was only until I had opened the world in normal MC did I realize my horrible fuckup. I might start building it again tomorrow, as I have the basic concept down.

Ok finished a new ship: The MG/I-20 Bruiser

Designed to be a gun or run ship, literally, it can either have all power diverted to the engines for evasive maneuvers, but have no weapons, or have all power to the guns, being able to take down much much larger craft, and be slower than a cow.

equipped with two high power lasers, 2 pairs of close range turrets, 2 ion mortars, 4 plasma projectors, 2 conventional mortars, 10 conventional lasers and one nuclear tipped long range sniper railgun (for when you don't want to get your plating dirty)

I wouldn't call it a battleship, its not big enough, it's like a really heavily armed cruiser, I will call this type of ship, a Bruiser-Cruiser, which I think is a cool subcategory of cruiser
