 A few ideas of mine

PostSubject: A few ideas of mine   Tue Jan 10, 2012 5:57 pm

When you build a star ship you build a "dry dock" around it and when you have finished building it you place the materials you used to make the sip in a chest attached to the "dry dock" and scan the ship with the "dry dock" move the ship out of the "dry dock" and activate it and it wil create a star ship identicle to the original ship.

To solve the planet problem with square worlds you can have six map sized faces of a cube and each face is treated as a world so when you reach the end of one face it loads the other face and each face has it's own underground world.

A new robot you could have is the U.A.V which is an unmanned flying craft that can be crafted and will fly
Around with three different modes
1. Patrol- just flys around and returns fire
2. Defend- if a ship from another server gets within a certain area it attacks them
3. Attack- attacks any ships from another server
It's mode will be controlled by a U.A.V controller which is crafted and linked to a specific U.A.V or squadron of them

Or you could attach a remote pilot computer to a fighter ship and fly it from a base, as long as it had radio contact. I wouldn't recommend UAV's for the simple reason that I will make sure that each one of my ships has advanced cloaking, jamming, and tracking equipment before anything else. Your UAV won't get within eyesight of my ship before I jam its radio feed.

I think those are some good ideas.

But when the people
On the ground see the enemy ships they will turn the U.A.v onto attack and it will still attack even when there is no signal reaching it Wink

The premise of the U.A.V is that it is remotly controlled, meaning that there is a person controlling it at your base/bunker/what have you, and a jammer would disrupt the signal, meaning that the U.A.V would just fall out of the sky. Also, cloaking would mean the ship could get in range where the U.A.V could be touched by the ships passengers, but cant notice the ship, leaving the U.A.V open to attack. Also, if they cant see the ship, they wouldnt turn it to attack, now would they?
