| Because there's one for Sins and this is a good game too. Basically, it's a WW2 tactical real time strategy game made as realistic as feasibly possible, with good graphics and AI to boot. Full control over the camera..etc.
I guess, like the SOASE thread, this could be a place to discuss matches for anyone who has the game.
Personally, I play Americans since I'm pretty noob.

Personally, I play Americans since I'm pretty noob. Which is weird as most newbs (I use this term as it is more accurate) prefer starting with Germans (Being the cool evil guys) and they are actually right as Germans are easier to start with. Americans require you to act faster and deny the Germans fuel as once they get tanks this is going to get really ugly. Actually it also depends on the team. I had once 4v4 with my friends and 4 random guys (who probably were together too) for freaking 4 hours. We played Wehrmacht and they played Americans (the map was Montargis Region ). It was the most intense game I ever had in CoH. I took Defensive doctrine (as always, I'm good with defences) also we had 2 Terror and 1 Blitzkrieg. The other ones got 2 infantry, 1 armor 1 airborne. How did they survive so long against the German tanks ? Well they were pros that's one, two they didn't stop pushing all around so collecting tanks together was impossible. I have no idea how many pershings we got with the 88s and the two king tigers but they just kept coming supported by rangers with bazookas. also everyone just spammed arti on each other and on the points so taking and holding them was really hard. Usually you see a battle for only one central victory point but here we thought for all five. The airborne guy kept dropping at the rear victory point and two middle points were burnt out from firestorms and strafing runs. Man out of all ppl in my team I was probably the most f***ed up because defensive doctrine relies on stationery defences so keeping up with all those barrages was hard. I guess my engineers were useful in repairing the damaged tanks which just kept coming back from the battles, and they are the lucky ones. We lost 1 king tiger to two pershings, they are very good actually, better than the standard tiger. They actually suffered only a bit of hits as they moved faster than the king tiger's turret. Eventually we won with only like 40 points difference only because they failed in a combined airborne strike at the 5th point (supported with tanks)

| That sounds so intense.
I don't think I've ever even beaten an Easy AI in CoH, actually, it's just a really fun game to play before I get owned. Assuming online is better..?
Could you maybe give me a few pointers this weekend? I have the original CoH, though, don't have the British expansion. Hear people say it ruined the game though, so *shrug*

| I haven't played this game for a loooong time and I'm not as sharp as I was (If I ever was ). I can view your games and point what went wrong and give general guidelines in each map. You can win though even against a bit better opponent if you have a good teamplay as after all you can't win alone. Usually pre-made teams have advantage in games like this. | |

| Slender is a game where two people can control different portions of a sole player, like one handles movement and the other flashlight. | |

| Sry I've got homework. Anyway in urban maps don't forget to garrison buildings, close to victory points but a bit further from action. Also place HMGs in houses. Usually if you rush your engineer to the right building straight in the beginning you get serious advantage and secure yourself a MG nest. If you play St-Hilaire for example you should rush for the tower-like building near the victory point. It will be the first place you will put your HMG in to cover the point. Next you should garrison the big building near the lower right victory point. It will supply you troops for your forward operations and replenish losses while giving you relative security and another good position for an HMG. Also if you manage to push your enemy back you can try to take the big building near his Victory point, securing it from further advancement and fully covering the side road. This building could use 2 HMGs. (note I wrote it from bottom player perspective but it works both sides) | |
